ಜಗದ ಜೀವಿತದಿ ನಿಜಜೀವಿತದ ಪೂರ್ತಿಯನು |
ಬಗೆಯಲರಿತವನೆ ಸುಖಿ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ||

jagada kalyaaNadoLagaatma kalyaaNavanu |
jagada bIdigaLoLu nijaatmayaatreyanu ||
jagada jIvitadi nijajIvitada pUrtiyanu |
bageyalaritavane sukhi - mankutimma ||

In the prosperity of world, the prosperity of soul,
In the streets of world, the true journey of soul,
In the life of world, the completeness of true life,

ನಿರ್ವಿಕಾರದ ನಯನದಿಂ ನೋಳ್ಪುದಾರಿ ||
ಸರ್ವಧರ್ಮಾಧಾರಿ, ನಿರ್ವಾಣಸಂಚಾರಿ |
ಉರ್ವರೆಗೆ ಗುರುವವನು - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ||

garvapaDadupakaari, darpa biTTadhikaari |
nirvikaarada nayanadim nOLpudaari ||
sarvadharmaadhaari, nirvaaNasancaari |
urvarege guruvavanu - mankutimma ||

The helpful who isn't proud, the authority who isn't egoistic,
The compassionate who sees as is - with an undistorted vision,
The pious who adores all religions, the seeker who seeks Nirvana,
Guru is he to the entire earth - Mankutimma.

ವಿಭಜಿಸಲ್ಕಾಗದನ್ಯೋನ್ಯಸಂಬಂಧ ||
ಉಭಯವನು ಮೀರ್ದ ಸಾಮ್ಯದ ನೀತಿಯೊಂದಿಹುದು |
ಅಭಯಪಥವದು ನಿನಗೆ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ||

shubhavaavudashubhavaavudu lOkadali nODe? |
vibhajislkaagadanyOnysambandha ||
ubhayavanu mIrda saamyada nItiyondihudu |
abhayapathavadu ninage - mankutimma ||

Which is auspicious; Which is inauspicious in the world?
Intricate relationship it is - impossible to classify.
Beyond these both, does exist a principle of parity -
