ಎಲ್ಲರೊಳು ತಾನು ತನ್ನೊಳಗೆಲ್ಲರಿರುವವೋ- |
ಲೆಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಿಯುಂ ನೋಡಿ ನಡೆದು ನಗುತಳುತ ||
ಬೆಲ್ಲ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತನಗೆ ತಾಂ ಕಲ್ಲಾಗ |
ಬಲ್ಲವನೆ ಮುಕ್ತನಲ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ||

ellaroLu taanu tannoLgellariruvvO- |
lellelliyum nODi naDedu nagutaLuta ||
bella lOkakkaagi tanage taam kallaaga |
ballavane muktanala - mankutimma ||

As he is one among all and all are in him,
He walks everywhere, sees, laughs and cries.
He is sweet to the world and a rock to himself.
One who is such, is alone free - Mankutimma.

ಕೋಡುಗಲ್ಲನು ಹತ್ತಿ ದೂರವನು ನೋಳ್ಪಂಗೆ |
ಗೋಡೆಗೊತ್ತುಗಳೇನು? ಮೇಡು ಕುಳಿಯೇನು? ||
ನೋಡು ನೀನುನ್ನತದಿ ನಿಂತು ಜನಜೀವಿತವ |
ಮಾಡುದಾರದ ಮನವ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ||

kODugallanu hatti dooravanu nOLpange |
gODegottugaLEnu? mEDu kuLiyEnu? ||
nODu nInunnatadi nintu janajIvitava |
maaDudaarada manava - mankutimma ||

To the one who climbs up the hill to see the distant,
What of walls and boundaries? Gardens and valleys?
Adopt a lofty world view towards the life of people,
