ನಾವದರ ಕಡ್ಡಿಯೆಲೆ, ಚಿಗುರುವೆವು, ಬಾಡುವೆವು |
ಸಾವು ಮರಕೇನಿಲ್ಲ - ಮಂಕುತಿಮ್ಮ ||

jIvanada mUla mElihudu paramOrdhadali |
tIvirpudadu keLage namma lOkadali ||
naavadara kaDDiyele, ciguruvevu, baaDuvevu |
saavu marakEnilla - mankutimma ||

The source of life is high above, in the zenith,
